Passion is contagious. You may not be a diehard fan of a particular team, but when you’re buddy who is invites you to a home game and you’re surrounded by that crowd and that stadium, you just start to find yourself screaming your lungs out for a sport you didn’t really care about. You might be on the fence about a certain hobby until your friend excitedly tells you all the ins and outs and their passion gets you excited to dive in. Passion is contagious.

Passion also isn’t just something you hear but it’s something you see and experience. It isn’t just your friend telling you about the sport. It was the stadium and the feeling of being there. It was the lights, sounds, smells, and atmosphere. You feel passion in the environment.

Our church is passionate about people finding Jesus here. We are passionate about people starting a relationship with Jesus here. But that’s not just something we can say. People are going to feel that passion when they see a team of others working together to run the church. That’s you. Your willingness to serve, to love, to greet, to prepare, and to be present communicates our passion for our guests to meet Jesus. Just showing up and serving communicates that. Thank you. Thank you for serving. Thank you for spreading that message.

I want to invite you to take a moment and pray for someone new who comes to our church Sunday. Pray that God speak to them. Pray that they can feel the passion we have for our savior Jesus and for Jesus’ heart for them. Take some time and pray for those new to our church.
