I find it easy to forget to say thank you. I’m always deeply thankful. I am so thankful for my friends, family, and church. Whenever the wonderful people in my life are wonderful, I love it. It warms my heart and fills me with gratitude. But, sometimes, I find myself forgetting to express that. I feel it, but I don’t say it.

That’s not right. Feeling it isn’t enough. Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” We are, as Christians, to be people who are thankful. Telling one another how grateful we are for them is a part of God’s will for our lives. It’s important.

So, I want to take a moment to say thank you to you. Thank you for what you do at our church. This church has had an incredible ministry over the years. That ministry is only possible because men and women decided to make it their ministry. They launched themselves into service and propelled the church forward. The only way we worship, grow, learn, and even exist is because of volunteers like you. Thank you so much. I hope we never stop saying thank you for doing ministry here. Thank you!
