We have such an awesome group of volunteers at this church. You guys show up week after week, month after month, and year after year to serve on Sunday at our church. Maybe, just maybe, at times, does it ever start to feel a little thankless?
I certainly hope not. But we do live in a world where stats are tracked and performance is rewarded. Athletes are praised because of the points they score and records they set. At our work, consistently putting in hard work is often praised and publicly. It can be easy to feel a little rundown serving multiple weeks a year at church.
We certainly don’t want you to feel that way. We so appreciate you and know that nothing we do as a church gets done without you serving. So thank you for that.
But it isn’t just our church that thanks you or wants to show you appreciation. Hebrews 6:10, "For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do." God is not unjust. He sees the work you put in for His church, His people, and His mission. He won’t forget it. Thank you for everything you do for the Kingdom of God. We won’t forget it and God sees it too.
